Dead or humanely killed dogs with nature canine distemper are submitted for necropsy and histopathological examination. The lesions include catarrhal or purulent bronchitis and bronchopneumonia, catarrhal gastroenteritis, encephalatrophy and hydrocephalus, central nervous system demyelination, epithelial cells of body organs, neurons and glial cells containing virus inclusions.
