Based on the fact that the security, economy and credibility in the power supplying systems affect numerous consumers, this paper discusses the current adaptive protection for the power supplying lines. The adaptive current protection can automatically calculate the setting values based on the fault type and the system impedance, so it can extend the protection and bring the selection criteria down.
