On the experimental basis of ischemia and reperfusion,author adopted retroperfusion of salvia miltiorrnza(SM) plus warm blood cardioplegia to test their protective effect on myocardium.It was for the first time in human valvular-replacement of seven cases of rheumatic heart disease.Compounds associated with energy metabolism of myocardium at various time points of operation were measured by HPLC.The results showed that following valvular-replacement,PCr and ATP content were not much different at three time points (Ⅰ、Ⅱ and Ⅲ).ADP and AMP content was obviously increase,but decrease of NAD was not marked,and TAN was indistinctly changed.Although apparent energy charge showed decreasing tendency,but its rate was slow.In conclusion SM plus warm blood cardioplegia has more satisfactory myocardial protective effect than cold potassium diluted blood in antegrat and retroperfusion.
