审美价值之维:从娱乐到艺术

Thoughts of esthetic values: from entertainment to art

对文学艺术审美之维的探寻,它经历了一个发展的历程:当文艺开始走出功利主义的藩篱,文艺的审美价值被理解为给人们的娱乐消遣,而到了浪漫主义时期,它开始被理解为心灵的抒发和精神的愉悦,到了文学艺术发展相对成熟的现代时期,文学的审美价值被理解为一种艺术价值,它超越了以往对审美价值就是“娱乐”和“快感”的理解,逐渐代之以带有一定“审丑”意识、体现创作者创造性禀赋的现代艺术价值观。

The exploration over the literary estheticism has undergone a developmental process. In the same way, in the time of utilitarianism, the esthetic value is considered as an entertainment, in the phase of romanticism it is as expressing mental delight and spiritual pleasure, and in the modern maturity of literary art the literary value is taken as artistic value, thus outdoing recreation and pleasure. So the literary estheticism may just as well extend to represent valuing ugliness instead of valuing beauty with delight or pleasure. And this is the modern value of literary estheticism.
