Object: Oxymatrine is a N-oxide of matrine, which possesses anti hepatitis B virus or anti hepatitis C virus activity. This article summarized the experimental study of oxymatrine on prevention and therapy hepatic fibrosis, clinical trial and its mechanism of action.
