“The 20 Books That Have Changed America” has collected half of the literature works and their influence has far more significance than the influence of literature itself. Few among them have some regret and shortcomings concerning the aesthetic value as far as literature itself is concerned. Their influence is far less than that of the great works of famous writers such as Mark Twain, Hemingway etc.. However, these works elected has influenced very much on the establishment of the American law, human rights and the overthrowing of the traditional culture, thus reflecting and influencing the process of the civilization of the American society. The literature works has become the activator of the American social civilization and a mirror to see the process of the American socia l civilization.
