Relationship between 'people-oriented' thought and socialism

"以人为本"是一个古已有之的概念,随着历史的发展其含义和所指向的社会具体内容也会不断变化。资本主义制度不可能把"以人为本"的思想贯彻到底。社会主义制度与"以人为本"思想有着不可分割的联系,"以人为本"是社会主义制度内在的思想灵魂,社会主义制度是"以人为本"思想的外在表现形式。只有坚持社会主义,"以人为本"才能贯彻到底,只有坚持"以人为本",社会主义事业才能健康顺利地发展。

There has been the 'people-oriented' concept in history.But with the development of history,the social contents of its implication and orientation have been changing continuously.In present era capitalist system can not carry through 'people-oriented' thought, while socialist system has unseparable connection with 'people-oriented' thought.'People-oriented' thought is the inherent thought soul of socialist system while socialist system is the outer manifestation form of 'people-oriented' thought.Only by upholding socialism can 'people-oriented' thought be carried through.Only by persisting in 'people-oriented' thought can socialist cause develop healthfully and smoothly.
