Of 156 cases of non-fatal injury in road traffic accident (RTA), the site of injury of most cases located in head (131 cases) and extremitics (138 cases). The type of injury were mainly bruise, wound and fracture. There were complex injuries with 2 or more than 2 types of injuries in 147 cases (94. 2%). The manner of injury on most cases were impact and fall.The author thinks that the multi-site and complex injuries are the major characteristic of non-fatal injury in RTA and apparent injury on the body surface being much more than the injury of inner organ is obvious different from that of the fatal injury in RTA. It is pointed out the attention should be paid to non-fatal injury in RTA and it should be strengthened feasibly to guard against RCA.
