摘要
中餐菜单翻译的好坏对中国的餐饮业能否实现走向世界这一宏伟目标有某种直接的影响.本义拟从中餐菜单的语篇类型、功能和翻译目的以及中餐菜名的构成和命名方法入手,粗略地谈谈中餐菜单英译的一些原则和方法.
The quality of English translation of Chinese menu has some direct influence on the entry of Chinese catering industry into the global market.This paper attemps to discuss some basic principles and methods of English translation of Chinese menu by analyzing the following three aspects of Chinese menu:(1)text type:(2) function; (3)the skopos of its translation, as well as the information contents and the naming methods of Chinese dishes.
