The design of civil structures for the direct-air-cooling system in China is at start stage. The authors introduce the current status of the design of civil structures for the direct-air-cooling system, combine with experiences in the concrete projects they participated and put forward the principles used in structural selection and calculation in civil structural design with issues to be paid attention for reference to the designers for direct-air-cooling structures.
