摘要
复杂地物是地理信息系统中经常涉及到的一种地物类型。传统的关系数据模型在处理这类数据时存在着许多不足。本文重点介绍如何利用面向对象的基本工具和技术建立一个有效的面向对象的空间数据模型，以便于对复杂地物进行指定、组织和管理。
Complex feature is a kind of usual data type in GIS． It has been proven that traditionalrelational model is not appropriate for this data type. This article discusses the key ap-prouches and techniques in Object-oriented modelling for spatial data type，and demonstratesan useful model for complex feature description and management.
