The development of the research and application of foam concrete is introduced, relating to the basic properties and advantage of the foam concrete, the research in the performance of foaming agent, the component materials and the composition, as well as the applied products in practice. Some usual countermeasures against the problems in the application and the prospect of the study and development are proposed.
