The theory of wavelet transform was introduced and it was applied to the signal analysis of magnetic flux leakage. Wavelet transform could he used to separate signal and noise, compress data, and cheek singularity, thereby a new method was provided for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of flaws in magnetic flux leakage testing.
