On International Images of a Great Power in It Rise

世界大国兴衰史表明,历史上那些能够担当重任的大国,都曾经以一种先进的合社会化的形象出现在世界面前。“大国形象”则是指现时代的国际社会中一个大国应该具有的良好精神面貌与政治声誉。当代条件下一个良好的大国形象的形成,至少包括五个方面的因素,即现代身份、世界贡献、战略意志、特殊责任、有效治理。

The history of rise and fall of world powers demonstrates that powers capable of greater contribution tend to give progressive and socialized impressions in the international society.Generally speaking,'images of great power' refer to positive spiritual outlook and political reputation that a major power is supposed to have in modern international society.Under contemporary circumstances,positive images of a great power at least include the following five aspects: modern identity,world contributions,strategic will,special responsibility and effective governance.
