Aiming at the shortage of the Shift - share Method, the paper establishes a modified mathematical model based on its basic principle, and extends its application field. The authors investigate the Chinese industrial sectors and determine the superior industrial sectors by using the modified method. In the end, the authors point out that the industries in China are lack of competitiveness as a whole.
