本文从法语、英语、俄语、德语、日语和中文的史料,探寻“身体教育”术语的符号表现形式和概念的演变。求证中文“体育”概念应有的含义及科学规范的使用方式。

According to related French, English, Russian, German, Japanese and Chinese historical data, the author made a research into the evolvement history of the symbol form and concept of the term “physical education”, trying to prove the inward conception and standard use of Chinese term “tiyu”.
