摘要
许多作者常常引用“授人以鱼,一日食鱼;授人以渔,终身得鱼”这一谚语来说明外语教学中促进自主学习的重要性。但自主学习是一个复杂的概念,讨论时如果简单地以“授人以渔”指代“促进学习者自主”,就容易使读者对自主学习的知识观和学习观、策略培训、学习者角色、教师角色和培训效果等方面产生误解。
To illustrate the significance of learner autonomy promotion in language teaching, quite a few authors tend to refer to the traditional Chinese saying"Give someone a fish and you feed them for a day; teach them to fish, and you feed them for life". The present paper, however, argues that learner autonomy is a complex phenomenon, and at: the same time clears up some possible misinterpretations about the quotation from five perspectives.
