The Form and Cultural Function of Lahu Dancing

拉祜族民间舞蹈历史悠久,源远流长,具有浓郁的民族风格和最广泛的群众基础。它的产生、演变和发展与其悠久的文化传统有着密切的关系。广为流传的芦笙舞、摆舞、跳歌等舞蹈,是拉祜族社会生活中一种较为集中的文化体现。拉祜族舞蹈集宗教、礼仪、娱乐、艺术为一体,每一个舞蹈所表现的形式都具有丰富的文化内涵。

Folk dance of Lahu ethnic group is very popular in Lahu society with its own ethnic characteristics and a very long history. The evolution and development of it has a close relation with its cultural tradition. The ‘lusheng dance＇,‘swing dance＇ as well as the ‘singing dance＇ are the prominent cultural embodies. As the dancing of Lahu is the unification of religion, protocol, entertainment and art, the form of each dance has its rich cultural connotation.
