This paper summarized the thought and practice of the experimental teaching reform of the department of civil engineering in our institute, briefly introduced the experience of its opening innovative experimental teaching reform including the guiding ideology, reform aim, teaching evaluation and management. The practice indicates that the reform has gained the initial effect.
