With a number of examples the paper introduces a safe,reliable,easy and cost-effective method for correcting stern shaft deflection.It discusses also the method for straightening and its principle,the calculation of maximum stresses at static load,dynamic load and combined load, correction method and position,laying time,lifting amplitude and striking times.
