The spectra of resonant luminescence(RL) ,double scattering(DS) and anti-double scattering(ADS) of selenium(Ⅳ)-iodide-crystal violet system were studied. The spectral characteristics,the effect factors and optimum conditions of the reaction have been investigated.The quantitative relations of the IRL, IADS and IDS to the concentration of selenium (Ⅳ)have been investigated.The concentration of selenium is directly proportional to the IRL,IADS and IDs in the 0 ̄3.0μg/mL. The new analytical way for determination of trace amounts of selenium by RL and ADS was proposed. The methods have very highly sensitivities,the detection limits for selenium (Ⅳ)are 0.11 ng/mL for RL method and 0.16 ng/mL for ADS method, respectively.
