The Influences of Psychoanalysis on Biographical Facticity

本文结合精神分析理论在现代欧美传记中的应用,从精神分析方法对传记的介入这一角度,探讨精神分析对传记真实性的影响及其成因。本文认为,精神分析理论一方面带来了对于传记真实性问题的更深入的理解,另一方面也带来了某些认识和实践上的迷误,因此,现代传记家在借鉴精神分析理论的合理观点以更好地探索传主“深度真实”的同时,对虚构与真实、解释与事实之间的界限也要有清醒的认识。

This paper discusses the influences of psychoanalysis on biographical facticity from the viewpoint of the application of psychoanalysis in modern Western biography writing. It argues that psychoanalysis has made possible a more in-depth understanding of biographical truth. However, some confusions in cognition and practice have also occurred. Modern biographers should use psychoanalysis as an aid in order to understand better the life and the works of a biographee. Meanwhile, they should also refrain from blurring the boundary between facts and fiction or between facts and their interpretation of them.
