Tendency and Prediction of the Ecological Environment of the Western Regions of China

西部大开发是一项资源开发和生态环境治理并举的政策举措,国家计划10年退耕还林2.2亿亩,投资3600亿元。人们十分关注西部生态建设的绩效问题。根据相关依据分析,目前西部生态环境状况可概括为:局部改善、整体恶化的趋势未能得到根本遏制,但生态环境恶化的速度相对呈下降趋势。今后西部生态环境状况的走势是:全国总体环境质量仍有进一步恶化的可能、东部发达地区的城市环境有优先恢复的可能、中西部地区生态环境恶化的势头有可能减缓。可见,西部生态环境状况将由恶化缓慢地向良性方向转变。
