The progress in studies on the mechanism of cucurbit resistance to wih disease was reviewed in this paper. The main contents included the etiological factors, the pathogenic form, the mechanism of pathogenic, and resistance, the heredity of resistance, the screening method of resistance, etc. The existing problems and tendency were also discussed.
