Present researches suggest that in the process of English writing, the implementation of the different writing strategies may cause positive or negative effect upon the quality of the written product. The monitoring strategy plays the central role in coordinating all the writing activities involved in English writing, thereby optimizing the writing process and improving the quality of the writing. The awareness of writing strategy and the training of writing strategy should be emphasized to optimize the writing process and the application of writing strategies to writing.
