Pingyao a Famous Commercial Center of Shanxi in the Qing Dynasty

平遥是晋中著名商业城镇,清乾隆以降,商业贸易逐步进入鼎盛时期,随着票号的创办,逐渐执全国金融业之牛耳,由晋中商品集散市场渐渐成为中国金融中心。从现存于平遥古城市楼的一批碑刻资料进行的分析和研究中,可以具体看出平遥城内当时的商业面貌。

Pingyao had been a famous city of Shanxi Provice since the middle period of the 16th century. The commerce and trade of this area entered the height and splendour bit by bit. Along with the appearance of the Piaohao which was the name of financial institute, Pingyao controlled the finance of China. At the same time, Pingyao became the financial center of China, the commodity exchange center of Shanxi.The anther uses the information of shilou which was the symbol building of Pingyao during the Qing Dynasty, to educe the phylogeny of Pingyao.
