摘要
红外图像序列中弱小目标的检测是图像处理应用的一个重要研究领域。由于弱小目标很难从背景杂波中分离出来,所以弱小目标的检测是一个难点。介绍了一种基于小波和高阶累积量的红外弱小目标检测方法。该方法利用小波滤波器抑制大部分背景杂波,然后采用基于累积量的自适应滤波器对高频小波系数进一步处理,使得图像信噪比大大提高,同时保留了目标信息。最后应用一些序列处理方法来进一步提高检测的性能。利用实测数据所做仿真实验结果表明该方法的有效性。
The dim small target detection from infrared (IR) image sequences is an important research field for image processing applications, but the difficulties in detecting small targets arise from the fact that they are not easily discernable from the background clutter. In this paper, a detection method based on wavelet and higher-order cumulant filter (WHOCF) is presented. Firstly, a wavelet filter is used to suppress the background clutter, then a cumulant-based adaptive filter (CBAF) is used in the further processing of the wavelet sub-band, which can improve the signal to noise ratio (SNR) greatly and preserve the candidate targets information effectively. Finally, an image sequences processing method is used to improve the performance of the detector before detection. The results from real time image sequences show it is effective.
