The definition of reservoir environment and its spatial structure have been discussed. The components of the reservoir environment and its relationship with the catchment have been analyzed. The sihation, eutrophication and pollution are the main problems to the environment of the reservoirs in China. Some measures for improving the reservoir environment at present time should be carried out effectively.
