From All-people Reading to All-people Writing: A Shift of Epoch(Ⅱ)——World Wide Movement of Participatory Journalism

20世纪末,公共新闻运动虽经10年之久,却依然无法根本改变普通市民无法获取近用权、参与公共生活的状况。传统媒体自身的局限性,决定了体系内部的改革无法完成这一使命。在移动技术和网络技术的推动下,参与新闻在传统媒体系统外部逐渐兴盛开来。这种新闻传播模式并非是要取代传统模式,而是在一个全新的媒介生态环境中与传统模式互为补充。

At the end of the 20th century, the unavailability of accessing rights made the ordinary citizens unable to participate in public life. Although the civic journalism movement by then had been lasting for 10 years, it could not change the situation. The own limitations of traditional media had determined that the reform of internal system could not fulfill such a hard task. With the help of mobile and network technologies, participatory journalism began to flourish outside the traditional media, not to replace the former media mode but to complement it in a brand-new media ecosystem.
