摘要
比喻是语言中历史最悠久的修辞格之一,它能用文字绘成绚丽的图画来增强语言的感染力。在现代商业广告中,比喻也是最常用的修辞手段。本文对商业广告中常用的几种比喻类修辞格进行欣赏和比较,分析各辞格的修辞特点,并着重探讨了隐喻格在广告语中的语法模式和语用功能。
As one of the oldest rhetorical devices, tropes paint the most splendid pictures with words and so add vigor to the language. They are now widely employed in advertising. This paper appreciates the most commonly used tropes in English advertisements and analyses their respective rhetorical features. An emphasis is laid on the discussion of grammatical patterns and pragmatic functions of metaphor.
