Features of embedded database and system structure of Berkeley DB are introduced. Combined with the requirement of the real-time monitoring system of bridge, a monitoring system structure of bridge was designed based on embedded database-Berkeley DB , and the key realization code of data processing in Berkeley DB was given. Finally the expansibility and developing problem of the structure system are discussed simply.
