Tension in "To Autumn"——Elements of a Good Poem in New Criticism Perspective

新批评理论对现代诗歌的批评产生了深刻的影响。以新批评派所倡导的"细读法"对济慈的《秋颂》进行解读,通过分析诗中的悖论、反讽、张力等质素,从而体会其怎样通过客观意象的排列消解诗中的张力而达到和谐统一。

At present the interpretation of poems is greatly influenced by the theory of New Criticism. This paper is intended to interpret the poem ＂To Autumn＂ by Keats through ＂close reading＂ advocated by New Critics, to find how the poem achieves integrity through the resolution of tensions in the light of objective correlatives by analyzing the poetic elements of paradox, irony and tension.
