This article mainly introduces the monitoring of the water and soil conservation in the Hurongxi expressway. It includes the monitoring area, content and method of the water and soil conservation of the project. Taking the year of 2006 for an instance, it elaborates the monitoring progress of the expressway＇s water and soil conservation. According to the result, the situation of the water and soil loss has a slow trend. Through the monitoring, we can thoroughly understand the situation of the water and soil loss during the construction period. On the basis of the result, we can further perfect the plan of the water and soil conservation.
