伊斯兰原教旨主义是当代伊斯兰复兴运动的集中体现,它在某种意义上导致了马来西亚伊斯兰政治化的不断加深。在制度内,巫统及其主宰的政府公共政策也深受伊斯兰政治化的影响,但这并非严格意义上的伊斯兰原教旨主义。在制度外,伊斯兰原教旨主义者往往会选择反体制道路,在某种意义上它们是现代化进程中的一种特殊的社会运动。社会政治领域的伊斯兰化将对马来西亚的政治发展产生深刻影响。

Islamic fundamentalism is the typical reflection of contemporary Islamic revivalism, which resulted in deepening of Malaysia Islamic peliticalization. In the system lay, United Malay National Organization （UMNO） and its public policies were deeply influenced by Islamic peliticalization, but it is not Islamic fundamentalism in the strict sense. Out of the system lay, Islamic fundamentalists often than not, choose to anti - system way which can be called an especial social movement in the course of modernization. Islamlzatinn in the field of society and politics will have deep effect on Malaysia＇s political development.
