Difference of cultural images owing to different cultures bothin china and western countries makes it important to focus on translation of film titles in the field of translation. First of all, speciality of translation should be considered. Besides, transla- tion of film titles should intensify characteristics of film titles from the perspective of literature and art. Last but not least, this article illustrates three basic principles of translation of film titles as well as the skills for translating them.
