The experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of mycelia of Cordyceps militaris on regulating high blood lipid of mice. One hundred and thirty-five KM mice were randomly assigned to nine groups(n=15 in each group):base control group, high lipid model group, positive control group, the dosage of 0.14、0.28、0.56 g/kg·bw/day mycelia of Cordyceps militaris which was pre-heated or not. While the mice of base control group were received only distilled water of the same cubage by gavage, the others were received high lipid emulsion 16.5 mL/kg in the morning and different samples 33.0 mL/kg in the afternoon by gavage everyday and total for 21 days. The body weigh of mice were weighed every 7 days. The total cholesterol(TC) of serum of the blood which was extracted from the tails was measured on the 0th day、7th day and 14th day.On the 21th day,the mice were dissected after taking out the blood from the mice's eyeballs. The TC、triglyeride(TG)、high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) of serum were measured
and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) and liver weigh indices were calculated on the 21th day.The results suggested that the serum TC、TG of high lipid mice which were treated with mycelia of Cordyceps militaris(heated or not)and Jin-shuibao(the positive control group) was significantly decreased on the 21th day(P〈0.05).The liver weigh indices of the groups treated with mycelia of Cordyceps militaris(heated or not) extremely and significantly decreased(P〈0.01).
