With the development of ultrasonic imaging, the Doppler ultrasonography is＇ a conventional and effective examination to carotid artery of cerebral infarction patients. This review describes the background and current research situation of ultrasound to carotid artery of cerebral infarction patients, as well as the potential disadvantages and perspective.
