摘要
掺铒光纤放大器(EDFA)在密集波分复用(DWDM)传输系统中的广泛应用,使EDFA成为光放大器的主流.本文报道了用于EDFA泵浦的熔锥型980nm/1550nm波分复用器(WDM)的设计和制作方法.首先运用光纤耦合器的耦合机理,从理论上得出了耦合功率和拉伸长度的关系,以1550nm作为监控波长,当拉伸长度大约为检测波长的30000倍时,可以实现980~1550nm波分复用;其次采用熔融拉锥系统,制作了样品;测试表明,器件的隔离度大于21dB,附加损耗小于0.1dB,该器件的指标都达到了实用化的要求.
Erbium-Doped optical Fiber Amplifier (EDFA)is the mainstream device in the optical amplifier, because it is extremely widespread in the Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) transmission system. The design and fabricated methods of fused-taped 980 - 1550nm Wavelength Division Muhiplexer/Demultiplexer(WDM) applied to EDFA pumping are reported. Firstly with the coupling theory of the fiber coupler, the relation between the coupling ratio and pull length is obtained theoretically. When the pull length is about 30000 times of monitoring wavelength, 1550nm, the device will realize the wavelength allocation. According to above result, the samples are manufactured successfidly with the fused-taped system; The measuring results show that the isolation of the device is more than 21dB and the excess loss is less than 0. 1dB, The performance of the device is conformed to the reqnest very well.
