This article analyses how the strong self-consciousness in Sylvia Plath' s confessional poems is established from three perspectives: nature and self, other and self, body and self. She experiences self in nature, confirms self in society and examines self in body. All these self-reflection is reflected in her confessional poems. The distinctive self-consciousness makes her writing surpass the objective reproduction of life and utter a unique voice.
