草坪草新品种贵州匍匐翦股颖的选育

Breeding of Guizhou Agrostis stolonifera, a New Lawn Grass Variety

利用1994年在贵州省黔西北境内采集到的野生匍匐翦股颖植株为原始群体,采用系统育种法,经多年栽培驯化,育成了草坪新品种贵州匍匐翦股颖。该草叶色淡绿,质地精细,草皮致密,匍匐茎生长速度慢,分蘖能力强,在贵州全年青绿,耐热抗旱性能明显优于对照Cato。适宜贵州海拔300m以上地区推广种植,同时适宜于亚热带到暖温带及相似气候地区推广种植,是建植高质量园林观赏类草坪以及高尔夫球场草坪的首选草种。

Guizhou Agrostis stolonifera, a new lawn grass variety, was bred from wild Agrostis stolonifera populations collected from Northwest Guizhou by using the systematic breeding method after long-term cultivation and domestication. Guizhou Agrostis stolonifera with advantages of greenish leaves, fine texture, thick grass, lower growth speed of creeping stems, good tiller ability, green around a year and better heat tolerance and drought resistance was suitably popularized the areas above 300 m elevation in Guizhou and the similar climate areas from the subtropical zone to temperate zone. Guizhou Agrostis stolonifera is the first-selected grass variety for building an ornamental lawn in the quality garden and golf lawn.
