Speech, as a special genre, has its typical genre features, in the respects of lexicon, syntactics, and rhetorics. The paper aims to analyze the gerne features of speech from the perspective of linguistics on the lexical level, syntactic level, and rhetorical level. The data for the research is chosen from Churchill’s Speech on Hitler’s Invasion of the U.S.S.R.
