摘要
珍珠岩为天然玻璃质岩石,加热膨胀后变成膨胀珍珠岩,具有质轻、绝热性能好、化学性质稳定等优点,用途广泛。但关于珍珠岩矿床的成因,习惯认为:“珍珠岩是由火山口喷发的酸性熔岩,经急速冷却而成的玻璃质岩石。”笔者根据溧阳珍珠岩矿床的地质特征,认为该珍珠岩主要是熔浆的侵入作用形成的。
Perlite is a natural glassy roek and may become expansile perlite when heated. Perlite has many advantageous properties, e.g. light weight, good heat insulation and excellent chemical stability properties, and therefore has a wide range of usage. With regard to the genesis of perlite deposits, it is considered conventionally that 'perlite is a glassy rock which is formed by rapid cooling of the acidic lava erupted from volcanic crater'. In the light of the geological characteristics of the perlite deposit in Liyang, the author considers that it is essentially the product of the intrusion of melting magma.
