摘要
《诗经》的四言雅、颂体,主要用于宴享、祭祀,语言风格古奥难懂,与文学性诗歌"言志抒情"的功能相去甚远;《楚辞》少用四言而多采用国风中的长短句表达情感,汉代四言诗则因循守旧趋于僵化;五言诗的兴起,反衬出四言诗的局限和弊端;加之古乐消亡,民间不复有四言歌曲;凡此种种,决定了四言诗的衰微。
The four - word poetry in the Book of Poetry were mainly used in sacrificial offering ceremony , they displayed few literary characteristic , their abstruse language maked writing and reading very difficult. The four- word poetry was not suitable to express the bold and unrestrained sentiment of Chu Poetry . So , the ancient poets seldom ehoiced four- word poetry when they wanted to express their emotion . Later , the five - word poetry replaced the four - word poetry in Han Dynasty and the former becomed the mainstream of the poetry creation in Wei and Jin Dynasty .
