摘要
2003年由教育部高等教育司组织的“大学英语课程教学要求”项目的启动标志着新一轮大学英语教学改革的开始。五年左右的教学改革给我国大学英语教学带来了巨大变化。为了更好地了解目前大学英语教师与教学现状,教育部高等学校大学外语教学指导委员会于2008年夏进行了一次大范围的问卷调查。调查结果显示,大学英语在课程设置、教学模式构建、教学评估和师资队伍建设等方面都取得了长足进步,但在教学要求设定、教师的学历与职称结构等方面尚有改进的余地。
The project of drafting College English Curriculum Requirements initiated by the Ministry of Education marked the beginning of a new round of college English teaching reform in China. Since the implementation of the reform, enormous changes have taken place in college English teaching. For a better understanding of the current situations of college English teaching, a large-scale questionnaire survey was conducted by the Advisory Committee of Foreign Language Teaching in Colleges and Universities in the summer of 2008. The survey shows that remarkable progress has been made in such areas as curriculum design, teaching model construction, teaching assessment, and faculty development. However, much work still needs to be done for the refinement of teaching objectives and the betterment of college English teachers.
