The classification and methods of structural vibration control in construction engineering are described here; every branch of the theories of the structural vibration control is detailed; a brief description is made for the history and latest progress on the control theory research; the application of every measure or technology at home and abroad and the effect of them under actual earthquakes are illustrated; finally, the various control measures' advantages and shortcomings are summed up, and the possible solutions and the direction in future are pointed out. This article aims to provide a full range of introduction, and offer references and convenience for relevant researchers.
