Following the rapid urbanization all over the world, traffic problem becomes the bottleneck for urban development. Through a retrospection of urban traffic development in the world, this paper proposes a diversified development of rail transit,discusses the present conditions of rail transit equipment and the main stream of innovation and inheritance. With an analysis of the technical characters of rail transit equipment, this paper clarifies the diversification in rail transit equipment technology featuring market orientation.
