On Su Qing's Modernity, Roots and Destiny

苏青作为上世纪40年代上海文坛最负盛名的女作家之一,已得到了评论界的普遍认同。但苏青和其创作的现代性,以及现代性的根源与归宿,至今还未引起评论界的特别关注。苏青现代性与墨学、与浙东文化有着一脉相承的关系,她的现代性最后归结为现代性伦理,并充满着浓厚的宗教情怀。

As one of the most famous female writers in the 1940s, Su .Qing＇s achievements have been widely acknowledged. However what Su Qing herself as well as her writings exposed of modernity, roots and destines become less emphasized. Su Qing＇s modernity relates consistently much to Mo-tse philosophy, eastern Zhejiang culture, whereby what exposes of her modernity attributes much to modern ethics with a strong religious sentiment.
