摘要
1919年5月4日北京学生游行队伍中,曾因男女有别的传统性别规范而使女学生缺席。是女学生的积极抗争和主动参与,才开启了男女学生一同做事和合室办公的新风尚。五四运动中,女学生以国民意识和国民责任为号召,以"女学生"的身份参与到民族主义和民主主义的运动之中,体现了女学生的主体性和能动性。在近代中国建设独立民族国家和发展民主政治的进程中,妇女不仅在场,而且是推动政治发展进程的主体。
Because of the traditional convention of gender segregation,female students were absent in the procession of student demonstration against the Versailles Treaty. It was female students'active resistance and participation that made it possible for male and female students to struggle together and work in the same office rooms. In the May Forth Movement,female students called on citizen consciousness and citizen responsibility. They participated in the nationalism and democracy movements using 'female students' as a collective identity,which embody the subjectivity and agency of female students. Women were not only present,but also the agent that advanced the nation-building and democracy politics.
