An interpretation of cooperative foreign language learning from the perspective of intercultural communication

This paper analyzes the basic concept and core components of intercultural communication and discusses the features of intercultural communication, which cooperative learning, one of the most significant educational renovations currently, possesses and manifests. The author believes the learning tasks in cooperative learning situations provide a large number of information gaps, that learners participate actively in information exchange by encoding and decoding, present more responses to the learning material that they are responsible for, and make much constructive feedback to peer explanation, and that the communication between cooperative learners is more authentic and of real -life characteristic.
