"Purity"'s Defect——Zhu Xiang's Literary Opinions and Poetic Theory

朱湘是一个"纯粹"的诗人,力争用复活的旧诗词语灌注的新诗语言系统来恢复古典诗歌的理想形态,他从爱国热情下的文学责任、无苦不成的文学之旅、诗歌的唯美和唯用、诗歌形式的技术化、复古迎外以获今这五个方面建构自己的诗歌理论,其诗歌的试验性意义大于其诗歌本身的艺术价值。

Zhu Xiang was a ＂pure＂ poet, trying to recover the ideal forms of classic poetry by new poetic linguistic system filled in with revived old poetic words. He built his poetic theory from five aspects： the responsibility of literature with patriotic enthusiasm, difficult trip of literature, the beauty and utilization of poetry, the technologization of poetic forms, obtaining the present through recovering the tradition and absorbing the foreign. The experimental meanings of his poems overwhelm their artistic value.
